We’re very excited to announce a new album recorded over two days on Glen’s 55th birthday last year in the iconic studio Funkhaus in Berlin. Set to be released in two volumes, ‘Don+t Settle (Vol. 1 – Transmissions East)’ is due out 24 April with Volume 2 following soon after. These concerts were also captured beautifully on film alongside interviews with Glen, the band and fans. We’ll be sharing more soon, starting today with this excellent performance of “Didn’t He Ramble” which you can watch on Glen’s YT channel here.
I’ve always been more comfortable on stage than in a studio. I love making records. I love the process. But the song lives before an audience. A song needs witnesses. It’s where I feel like I can really grab hold of it. And know it – the way that it’s meant to be known. So to record this album in front of an audience was incredibly gratifying. It gave the songs a new lease of life. One always hopes the songs will land, take root and mean something new. Beauty is in the ear of the behearer. – Glen
